New FDA Warning Labels To Appear On Cigarette Packs

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) revealed nine warning images that are set to appear on cigarette packs, cartons, and ads in September of 2012. These warnings take up half of the front display of cigarette packs, and are very graphic. In addition, a hotline for smoking cessation is also provided. The hope is that the graphic images will prevent children from starting to smoke, reduce use in current smokers, and also encourage current smokers to quit.
