Interactive Timelines of Cancer Biology and Treatment

It is reasonable to think that cancer has been present in humans (and other animals) for all of our existence.  Cancer was recognized and described in ancient writings.  In the many years since cancer was recognized as a disease (or, more accurately, a group of related diseases) physicians and patients have sought ways to detect cancer. The sections to the left present selected events in:

The History of Cancer: 3000 BC to 1999 AD.
