Lung Cancer: Symptoms

Symptoms

There are no symptoms associated with early stage lung cancer. The American Cancer Society lists the following symptoms associated with advanced stage lung cancer.(1) A physician should be consulted if they persist. It is important to note, however, that these symptoms may be caused by factors unrelated to cancer:

  • Persistent cough
  • Sputum streaked with blood
  • Chest pain
  • Voice change
  • Recurrent pneumonia or bronchitis
