Become a Sponsor

There are many ways to help CancerQuest by becoming a sponsor. Your support can:

  1. Help maintain and expand existing products.
  2. Drive the development of novel educational tools.
  3. Provide opportunities for internships in cancer education and outreach.

Sponsorship opportunities include:

  • Translation of CancerQuest
CancerQuest content is currently available in English, Spanish, Traditional Mandarin, Simplified Mandarin, Italian and Russian. The translations are currently performed by volunteers around Atlanta and students and faculty at universities in  Italy, Taiwan and Russia. Sponsorship of an existing language would allow us to keep the translated versions synchronized with the English version. We would also like to get our information out to a wider audience by adding additional translations of the site.

  • Posters
CancerQuest has developed three dimensional cancer education posters about skin and cervical cancer.  The posters have been sent to schools, hospitals and other organizations across the U.S. and around the world.  Sponsorship would allow us to print, package and ship posters.  Your organization can be recognized on posters sponsored in this manner.  Small versions of the posters can be viewed here.  Note that 3D glasses are required to view the graphic properly (we send those out with the posters). We would also like to develop additional posters about Lung Cancer, Liver CancerHow Cancer Develops, and other topics.
  • Oncology Education for Clinicians
We would like to produce a series of videos to educate cancer clinicians about the most recent approaches in medical oncology.  To do this we plan to videotape an ongoing lecture series at Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University and broadcast the presentations on CancerQuest.  The online presentation will provide opportunities for interaction between presenters and the audience and allow us to build a community of oncology professionals.
  • COMPASS
CancerQuest created a new way of learning about breast cancer with COMPASS: Breast Cancer Edition.  This learning module presents a breast cancer 'timeline' of medical tests and results.  Videos allow users to learn about many of the topics most important to them without ever leaving the page.  Animation and video clearly present critical information in an easily understood format.  We would like to make more COMPASS editions for other cancer types. View COMPASS: Breast Cancer Edition.
  • Internships
Working with CancerQuest is a formative experience for many Emory undergraduates.  A sponsored internship would allow a student to work with our project for a summer and/or during the school year.  The experience of working with cancer patients and caregivers invariably has positive effects on the perception of interns of oncology as a career option.
